The Cleveland Cavaliers have the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft this Thursday, and they are talking to anyone/everyone who asks them about it. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Portland Trail Blazers have been the most proactive teams in trying to acquire the top pick, according to ESPN’s Chad Ford. However, both sides seem to be far apart in talks….. MIN rejected the Cavs’ counter-offer of Kevin Love for the #1 pick, Dion Waiters, and Tristan Thomp Thomson. POR got an answer from Cleveland of the #1 & #19 pick for LaMarcus Aldridge. That was too steep a price in this weak draft. OKC, meanwhile, is offering the 17th & 29th picks, in addition to Kendrick Perkins, in a frantic effort to get a top 5 pick. But that won’t be enough for Cleveland. More as it hits the rumor mill…..
