Top ten draft spots and the latest chatter

  The NBA hasn’t had such an even, superstar-less draft in a long time. So, with under 48 hours to go before draft night (coincidentally, also my birthday), let’s look at the top ten spots and likeliest outcomes…..   1. Cleveland Cavaliers Unfortunately for Cavs fans, there is no Lebron James in this draft (that’s next summer). For a team with a budding Super-Star point guard, double-double machine at center, and young pieces at SG and PF…the decision is tough. They’ve gotten offers for the pick from numerous teams, but been rebuffed with their greedy counter-offers (Kevin Love & LaMarcus Aldridge are not coming to Ohio). They have a hole to fill at SF, but does a guy like Otto Porter warrant the top pick? Maybe they’d be better suited with a veteran 3-man (Shawn Marion, Luol Deng, Paul Pierce have all been rumored). If Cleveland keeps the pick (big ‘IF’), I say they take Nerlens Noel of Kentucky. He has the most ‘sizzle’ should they package him at a later date. I think GM Chris Grant and owner Dan Gilbert are set on filling the small forward-spot with a veteran this summer. 2. Orlando Magic Well, the Magic have the luxury (kinda) [...]
